Life in the navy meant being deployed to the Middle East for Petty Officer Second Class Baez, which put her in a difficult situation when it came to her pit bull Laila. Baez’s foster plans for Laila had fallen through last minute so she decided to contact PACT For Animals for help.

PACT, which stands for People + Animals = Companions Together, is a group that provides temporary, life-saving foster care for the bests of our nation’s soldiers and hospital patients. Finding temporary foster families for pets, PACT found the Masusock family in New Jersey who offered to look after Laila.

Laila certainly felt the love during her time with the Masusock family and one member was particularly taken with the pit bull, a little girl named Anna. Anna felt an immediate bond with Laila, snuggling with her and doing anything to make her feel loved.

Anna has certainly gone above and beyond to make sure Laila doesn’t feel alone during her mom’s year-long deployment and one video of the two has managed to go viral.
