Now Indians Can Pay Via UPI Payment In The United Kingdom; Here’s How It Will Work – Tech

In a world where digital payments are becoming the norm, UPI is taking a step towards making it easier for users to make and receive payments. Customers of UPI and RuPay from India will soon be able to use PayXpert’s point-of-sale systems to make in-store transactions in the UK. On August 18, the NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), and the RuPay card system signed an MoU to work with PayXpert, a supplier of payment solutions, to expand the acceptability of those solutions outside of the UK.

Why was this decision made?

This partnership would assure that PayXpert’s Android point-of-sale devices for in-store transactions are compatible with all Indian payment options in the UK. RuPay card payments could eventually be merged after starting with QR code payments based on UPI.

Consumers and merchants in the UK stand to gain from the UPI and RuPay payment alternatives, which will also provide a much-needed boost to trade in the retail, hotel, and tourist sectors, “According to a joint statement from NPCI and PayXpert.
